February 1992, Sarita Handa turned her passion for textiles to found Sarita Handa Exports Pvt. Ltd.
Having traveled the length and breadth of India as an Army wife and seeing the diversity of the weaves particularly the Saree, it was love at first sight. The vision for the company was always very clear, Product Made in India, by Indian Artisans but with an International aesthetic and quality. The idea, right from the beginning was always to ensure that the Artisans knew that they could count on us. One of the first initiatives was to adopt a village and train the women of the village in hand quilting. Our in-house design studio, based in India comprises of some of the brightest minds that combine originality with uncompromising quality.
